Effective July 1, 2018, on behalf of the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOFSA) the servicing provider for all defaulted student loans will be Education Credit Management Corporation (ECMC).
If your LPN license has been flagged with a defaulted student loan, before you will be eligible to renew the license you must clear the defaulted student loan through ECMC. Please call ECMC at (844) 371-7098 for all information regarding the procedure for clearing the defaulted student loan.
All clearance letters MUST be received by email directly from their office before a LPN will be made eligible to renew. Once the clearance letter is received by our office, a letter of confirmation of clearance will be mailed to the current address on our system for you and a copy will be emailed to your Nurse Portal account by secure email.
