  What Is Endorsement

NOTE:

Endorsement is the method of application for an LPN/LVN currently licensed in another state who wants to obtain a license to practice in Louisiana.

If you have ever held a Louisiana LPN license, you do not qualify for endorsement.

It is illegal to practice Practical Nursing in the state of Louisiana unless you possess a temporary work permit issued by our Board or a current Louisiana LPN license.

You must instead request to reinstate your Louisiana license.

To find out if you meet the qualifications for licensure by endorsement, please review the Requirements for Endorsement.

Call our office at 504-838-5791 for more information.
