Louisiana
uses the NCLEX®
- PN as the licensing examination for practical nurses.
This examination depends
on practicing LPNs to serve on panels and to assist in
writing/developing items (questions) and/or reviewing existing items. Panel
members travel to Chicago (all expenses paid) to write or review test
items for the NCLEX® examination. On site training is provided.
As an NCLEX® panel member you not only have the opportunity to
contribute to the development of the examination, but also to
network with your nursing colleagues on a national level.
If
you are an LPN in Louisiana you can qualify to serve on a panel if
you are currently licensed in Louisiana and if your license has not been
disciplined by the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners. Other
requirements for the volunteer panels include:
-
