Note: The Board typically convenes in open session on the first day of
the meeting and votes, immediately, to go into a closed (executive) session for
discussion of litigation and/or consideration of disciplinary matters against licensees,
applicants for licensure and/or schools of practical nursing, as applicable. This part of the meeting is closed to the
public in accordance with R.S. 42:6.1. Following the executive session, the
board may recess for the day or, if time permits, the board may go into open
session to take final action on disciplinary matters and/or to continue with the meeting
agenda.
